AUSTRALIAN OPEN 'SEE YOU AT THE MATCH' - DJOKOVIC MESSAGE TO FANS ALLAYS INJURY FEARS

There had been serious concerns over Novak Djokovic's fitness status at the Australian Open after it was reported that organisers had cancelled his scheduled training session at Melbourne Park on Monday. However, the Serb did eventually get a session in at a later time, and he also reassured watching fans that he would see them at the match on Tuesday, despite his injury concerns.
Novak Djokovic took the time to reassure fans that he would be ready to play his opening match at the Australian Open on Tuesday despite his injury fears.
Fans grew increasingly concerned on Monay when it was revealed that his scheduled practice session had been cancelled, only for Djokovic to eventually take to the court later on.
The nine-time champion at the Australian Open then, as per journalist Sasa Ozmo, told fans watching his training session that he would see them at the match on Tuesday.

"Thank you for coming," Djokovic was reported as saying. "Everything is okay, see you at the match."
The 35-year-old's upper left leg was heavily strapped during the session, however, with his fitness surely still in doubt ahead of his opening match against Spain's Roberto Carballes Baena.
Djokovic was forced to cut short a practice match last week due to his ongoing hamstring issues but moved freely as he and Nick Kyrgios put on an entertaining exhibition match on Rod Laver Arena ahead of the tournament.
As Eurosport's Laura Robson reported from Melbourne Park, it had been a topsy-turvy day for Djokovic and his supporters with mixed reports and changes of schedule.
"Djokovic had his training cancelled earlier," Robson reported.
"He is dealing with a couple of injuries with his leg, so in hindsight, they [Djokovic and Kyrgios] may have been better off skipping that one [Friday's exhibition match], but it is a bit what-if, really.

It was equally surprising the extent to which Kyrgios was injured despite playing alongside Djokovic in the exhibition match on Rod Laver Arena - something that only emerged fully when the Australian announced his shock withdrawal on Monday.
"Yes, he seemed fine," Robson said. "I spoke to a couple of people around the players' dining area, and they had heard that he was dealing with a bit of a knee issue.
"But he wasn't very open about how bad it was because he did not know for sure whether he was going to play or not."
