A fine goal from Antony and a late double from Marcus Rashford were more than enough for Manchester United as they earned a relatively straightforward victory over Charlton Athletic in the EFL Cup. They become the first team to book their place in the semi-finals along with Newcastle United, who beat Leicester City in the other quarter-final tie taking place on Tuesday.
Antony’s curling strike fired Manchester United to a comfortable 3-0 victory against Charlton at Old Trafford, booking them a spot in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup, with Marcus Rashford adding a two goals late on.
Despite Erik ten Hag naming a weakened side, United were well on top for the majority of the first half.

Pellistri runs in, and lays it off to Rashford, who has managed to find space and is one on one against the keeper. At that point, it's really only one outcome. United are through to the semi's of the EFL Cup!
