UNSETTLED KYLIAN MBAPPE WANTS MANCHESTER CITY MIDFIELDER BERNARDO SILVA TO JOIN PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN - PAPER ROUND |
MBAPPE WANTS SILVA
Kylian Mbappe is willing to stay at Paris Saint-Germain, despite the recent social media army scandal, and the struggles of the team this season after several controversies. The 24-year-old striker has a contract that runs for a couple more years in France, and Spanish newspaper Marca believes that Mbappe has an idea for a preferred new team-mate.
“Mbappe has reportedly asked PSG to prioritize the signing of Bernardo Silva from Manchester City,” goes the report.
“Mbappe believes that the team lacks creativity in the final third and wants the Portuguese midfielder to provide PSG with a spark upfront.
“The first obstacle for a potential Silva move to PSG is that his contract runs until June 2025. However, Silva has already publicly stated on several occasions that he could leave the club before his deal expires should a tempting offer arrives [sic].
“His current market value is set at 86.8 million euros, but Pep Guardiola would not happily give the green light for Silva to depart the team.
"I am the youngest of 10 siblings from a poor upbringing in Santa Domingo in Ecuador,” he stated.
"My dream [was] always to be the most decorated player in the history of Ecuador.
"I am proud to be able to bring in a record transfer fee for Brighton which would allow them to reinvest it and help the club continue to be successful.
"The fans have taken me into their hearts and they will always be in my heart so I hope they can understand why I want to take up this magnificent opportunity.”
CAICEDO WANTS TO LEAVE BRIGHTON
Brighton’s 21-year-old midfielder Moises Caicedo has explained on Instagram that he wants to quit the club amid interest from Arsenal and Chelsea, reports the Sun. The Ecuadorian international was reportedly subject of a £60 million bid from Arsenal on Friday, but he is now pushing hard for an agreement to be reached. He took to social media to explain his motivation for a move to a bigger club.

CHELSEA AGREE GUSTO DEAL
The Mirror reports that Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign Malo Gusto from Lyon as they look for back-up at right-back following the injury to Reece James, meaning that they will beat clubs such as Real Madrid and Manchester United to his signature and bring him into the squad later this year.
The paper writes: “Chelsea have agreed a £26million deal to sign Lyon full-back Malo Gusto - but he won’t arrive until the end of the season.
“The Blues have already splashed out over £200million on transfers this month and earmarked the 19-year-old as their No.1 alternative to Reece James, who is currently out injured. But after rejecting two offers from west London, the French club made clear that they had no intention of parting with Gusto this month.”
MOURINHO WANTS ROMA EXIT
Roma currently sit fifth in the Serie A league table but lack the financial clout to properly challenge for the title in Italy. After winning the Europa Conference League with his current side, the Mail reports that manager Jose Mourinho is looking for a return to the Premier League with one team in particular his preferred destination.
“Jose Mourinho is eager to return to England next season amid frustration at a lack of financial backing from Roma,” the paper begins.
“An extraordinary third spell at Chelsea would be his ideal scenario and his representatives have let it be known that he would be interested in any vacancy at Stamford Bridge, but the club have made it clear they intend to stand by Graham Potter.
“Mourinho’s wife and children still live in London and he has always preferred working in the Premier League to elsewhere.”
